Persona Analytics tells you how each of your 6 personas performs across revenue, retention, product affinity, geography, and more. But the data is only valuable if it changes what you do.
Revenue vs Customer Distribution → prioritize where you invest
The Revenue vs Customer Distribution chart on the main dashboard is the first place to look. It tells you which personas are generating disproportionate revenue relative to their size — and which ones aren't pulling their weight.
If a persona is an outperformer (green):
This is your highest-efficiency segment. Customers in this group spend more than their numbers would suggest. Prioritize them for:
Meta Lookalike Audiences — find more people who look like your most efficient spenders
Higher creative investment — persona-specific campaigns are most worth it here
VIP and retention programs — these customers are your most valuable relationships
If a persona is an underperformer (red):
A large customer share with low revenue contribution isn't necessarily bad — it could mean this persona buys frequently at lower AOV, or it could signal an opportunity gap. Look at their repeat rate and AOV to understand which. If repeat rate is high but AOV is low, a bundling or upsell strategy might lift revenue contribution significantly.
Revenue Index → find your hidden high-value personas
The Revenue Index on each persona card (1.00x = average) is a quick read on efficiency. A persona with a Revenue Index of 1.09x is generating 9% more revenue than its size would predict — that's a meaningful signal worth acting on.
Sort the main dashboard by Revenue % to quickly rank your personas from most to least efficient. The top one or two are where you should be concentrating acquisition spend — building Lookalike Audiences from these personas gives Meta the most precise brief for finding high-value new customers.
Repeat Rate and Days Between Orders → build your retention strategy
The Revenue tab for each persona shows three retention metrics that directly inform your win-back and re-engagement programs:
Repeat Rate — what percentage of this persona comes back for a second order
Days Between Orders — how long this persona typically waits between purchases
First to Repeat — how long it takes from first order to second order
Use these to set the right lapsed window per persona rather than a one-size-fits-all definition of "lapsed." A persona with 59 days between orders isn't lapsed at 60 days — they're right on schedule. The same gap for a persona with 30 days between orders is a genuine churn signal.
What to do:
Build persona-specific win-back flows in Klaviyo triggered when a customer hasn't ordered beyond their persona's typical days-between-orders window
Prioritize win-back investment on your highest LTV or highest repeat rate personas — the economics of winning them back are strongest
Use First to Repeat to time your post-purchase flow — if a persona typically converts from first to second order in 67 days, your post-purchase sequence should be designed to accelerate that
Product Affinity Index → inform product and merchandising decisions
The Products tab for each persona shows a Product Affinity Index — how this persona indexes against your brand average on each product (100 = average, above = over-indexes, below = under-indexes).
Green bars are products this persona buys at a higher rate than your average customer. Red bars are products they under-index on.
What to do:
Persona-specific product recommendations — surface over-indexing products in persona-targeted email campaigns. If Affluent Health Investors over-index on a specific product, lead with that product in their email creative
Meta Lookalike creative — when building a Lookalike Audience from this persona, use their top over-indexing products as the hero creative in your ad. An audience built from Engaged Elders paired with an ad featuring their highest-affinity product will outperform generic product creative, since you're matching both the audience and the message to what this persona actually buys
Product development signals — if multiple personas strongly over-index on a specific product, that's a signal worth bringing to your product team
Bundling opportunities — look at Avg Products/Order and Distinct Products. A persona that buys many different products is a strong candidate for bundle or cross-sell campaigns
Inventory planning — stock more of what your highest-LTV personas over-index on
Geography → focus out-of-home, events, and regional campaigns
The Geography tab shows where each persona is concentrated by state. Compare your top personas' geographic distribution — are they concentrated in the same states or different ones?
What to do:
Out-of-home and regional advertising — concentrate spend in states where your highest-value personas are densest
Event and pop-up strategy — if your top persona is heavily concentrated in California and Texas, that's where your experiential marketing budget should go
Wholesale and retail expansion — high persona concentration in a specific region is a signal about where retail partnerships might perform well. A persona concentrated in affluent suburbs of major cities points to specific retailer types in those markets
Demographics → sharpen your creative and targeting
The Demographics tab — age distribution, gender split, property value, education level — gives you the inputs for stronger creative briefs and more precise ad targeting.
What to do:
Ad targeting — use age range and gender data to set precise parameters in Meta and Google campaigns targeting this persona's lookalike audience
Creative direction — property value and education level tell you a lot about tone and aspiration level. A persona with median property value of $412K and 48% Bachelor's degree responds differently than one with $1M+ property values and 34% Doctorate
Photography and imagery — age distribution tells you who should be in your creative. If your top persona has a median age of 71, your campaign imagery should reflect that
Professional tab → find partnership and B2B opportunities
The Professional tab shows top occupations, industry distribution, and notable employers within each persona.
What to do:
Wholesale and B2B leads — if a significant portion of a persona works in retail, distribution, or buying roles, that's a signal worth investigating. They may already be in your customer base as personal buyers
Influencer and ambassador targeting — top occupations tell you what kind of professionals are buying your product. If a persona is heavy on founders, executives, or media professionals, those are natural ambassador candidates
Partnership decisions — industry distribution tells you which sectors your customers work in, which can inform co-marketing or partnership outreach
Customers tab → identify VIPs for personal outreach
The Customers tab shows the top 10 customers by LTV within each persona. These are your highest-value relationships in that segment — people worth knowing personally, not just as data points.
What to do:
Review the top customers in your highest-LTV persona regularly — these are the people most worth personal outreach, a gift, or a handwritten note
Click View All to open the full persona in your Signal Feed — from there you can save as a segment and build Playbooks for VIP treatment, Slack alerts, or Klaviyo flows
Look for Signal Criteria matches within your top customers — an influencer or executive in your highest-LTV persona is an especially high-priority relationship
Revenue Distribution Over Time → spot trends before they become problems
The Revenue Distribution Over Time chart on the main dashboard shows each persona's revenue share week by week or month by month. Use it to spot trends that point-in-time metrics miss.
What to look for:
A persona's revenue share declining over time — could signal churn in that segment, a product assortment issue, or a competitive shift. Worth investigating with the retention metrics
A persona growing rapidly — a new or emerging segment worth investing in before competitors notice
Seasonal patterns by persona — some personas may spike around holidays or specific seasons. Use that to inform campaign timing per persona
