By default, OuterSignal excludes all $0 orders in Shopify. You can suppress customers from OuterSignal searches based on Shopify tags.
Go to Settings > Data Sources > Edit the existing Shopify channel > Select which order tags and/or customer tags to exclude (or enter a custom tag) > Click Save Changes.
Common use cases:
Tag employee orders with "EMPLOYEE" → exclude from searches
Tag wholesale customers with "WHOLESALE" → exclude from searches
Tag sample orders with "SAMPLE" → exclude from searches
Tag orders before they're processed by OuterSignal, or apply tags to customer profiles to exclude all future orders from that customer.
Important: Tags are case-sensitive in OuterSignal. "WHOLESALE" and "wholesale" are treated as different tags.
Important Limitations:
Tags are case-sensitive ("EMPLOYEE" ≠ "employee")
If a tag exclusion is added after a customer has already been searched, it will not remove them retroactively
Tag exclusions only prevent future searches; they don't delete existing enriched data
