Can I export customer data from OuterSignal?
Yes! Multiple export options are available depending on your needs: Note: Export functionality is only available on paid subscription plans. Users on the free plan must upgrade to access this feature.
Customer-Level Exports (CSV):
All searched customers
Filtered customer segments (by any criteria)
Note: Individual customer exports will include Persona tags only after you've activated Persona tagging
Persona-Level Exports:
Persona reports (PDF format) - includes demographic breakdowns and key insights
Meta lookalike audiences - export customer segments directly as Meta lookalike audience files for ad targeting
To export customer data, go to the Signal Feed, locate the menu with the three dots on the right side of the screen, and click the export option.
To export persona reports, go to the Personas page and click the Export Report button. Troubleshooting: If the export button is not visible, ensure you are on a paid plan and have the necessary permissions to export data.
Can I see individual customer order history in OuterSignal?
OuterSignal shows basic order information (order count, total spent, most recent order date) for context, but our primary focus is demographic and behavioral enrichment rather than detailed purchase analytics. At the bottom of every customer profile on the Signal Feed is a section with order history as well as a link to your Shopify Admin if you'd like more detailed order history for that customer.

For Persona-level purchase insights: OuterSignal's Persona Analytics feature (available on Enterprise and Pro plans) provides aggregate metrics like revenue contribution, average order value (AOV), and lifetime value (LTV) broken down by customer Persona - helpful for understanding which customer segments drive the most value.
