Where to find your segments
Go to Playbooks → Segments in the left sidebar. This page shows every segment you've created, along with key performance metrics for each:
Status — Active or Inactive
Members — current number of customers in the segment
Top Persona — the most common persona among segment members
Avg Value — average order value for this segment
Revenue — total revenue generated by this segment
Repeat — repeat purchase rate
VIP % — percentage of the segment that are high-signal customers
How to edit a segment
On the Segments page, find the segment you want to edit
Click the ⋮ menu on the right side of the row
Click Edit Segment
On the Basic Info screen, you can update the segment's name or description, then click Next
On the Rules screen, you'll see how many customers currently match your existing rules. From here you can:
Edit existing rule values (e.g. change a follower threshold from 500K to 1,000,000)
Click Add Rule to add another condition within the same group
Click Add Group to add a new nested set of rules
Use AND / OR logic to control how rules combine
Click Clear All to remove all rules and start over
The customer count at the top updates live as you adjust your rules, so you can see the impact before saving
Click Save Changes
What happens to Playbooks built on this segment
Any Playbook already built on this segment automatically uses the updated criteria — you don't need to recreate or reconnect your Playbooks after editing a segment. If you tighten or loosen your rules, the Playbook's actions (Slack alerts, Klaviyo tags, Shopify tags, etc.) will apply to whoever matches the new definition going forward.
This makes segment editing a powerful way to refine your targeting over time without rebuilding your automations from scratch.
Other actions available from the menu
From the same ⋮ menu, you can also:
View Details — see the full segment breakdown without entering edit mode
Duplicate — create a copy of the segment as a starting point for a similar one
Create Playbook — build a new Playbook directly from this segment
Deactivate — pause the segment without deleting it. Deactivated segments stop updating and any connected Playbooks stop running
Delete — permanently remove the segment
