Custom API Integration

What if we don't have Shopify?

The OuterSignal Order API allows you to submit customer order data directly to our platform. This API is designed for businesses that don't use a native OuterSignal integration (i.e. Shopify) but want to leverage OuterSignal's customer identification capabilities (i.e. BigCommerce, WooCommerce, Magento, custom platforms).

Setup Process:

  1. Review API documentation on our website (can be found under the 'Support' section of your dashboard or click here)

  2. Choose your desired filters and data points at activation

  3. Implement API endpoints in your platform

  4. Begin sending customer data for enrichment

  5. Receive enriched data back via webhook or API response

Important Note: If you need to add new filters after initial setup, existing customers will require re-searching to populate those new data fields.

Can we test with a CSV before full integration?

Yes! We're happy to run a test batch before you commit to full integration. Simply send us a CSV file with customer data (name, email, address) and we'll:

  1. Process the data through OuterSignal

  2. Return enriched results

  3. Upload sample results to a demo dashboard

  4. Review findings with you to demonstrate value

This helps you understand the data quality and ROI before investing in technical integration.
